If you are going 136 mph, have a record as long as your leg, then take what comes. You run, they stop you. If it ends badly, good. You shouldn’t have run. What normal car will do 136 mph? These days, cars have speed limiters. Normal tires are unsafe at very high speeds.

….I don’t think the Cop meant that the man was cut in half. I think he was saying that his legs were still in the front seat area, but that he had been splayed out and his torso was laid out in the back seat area. Most likely the seat back failed and he was tossed a bit into the back when the car flipped and the airbag deployed. In 2010…I had a seizure…and during my post seizure fugue state condition…I unknowingly drove a car 7 miles through the mountains at 70 mph. I ended up driving off a 200 foot cliff. As the car was flipping and twisting in the air…the seat back failed and even though I had buckled myself in…I was sucked out of the back drivers side window…and tossed all the way down the face of the cliff. I was found and rescued by a life flight helicopter…and they lifted me with a basket out of the canyon and into the Helicopter. The only awareness that I had…was about 3 heartbeats as I was being lifted in the air in the basket. I had no awareness that I chose to drive, no awareness of driving off the cliff…and no memory of the event except for that moment in the basket. I ended up with my back broke in 4 places, my neck broke in 3 spots, 6 broken ribs, a crushed tailbone, a 93 stitch gash across my face…and a 19 staple gouge in my head / brain. So it’s possible that one can survive such a debacle…but in my case I’m sure that if I had ridden the car down the cliff…I would not have survived. The fact that I got sucked out the window and tossed free of the car is probably what saved me. That…and a whole lot of good luck! Ha!
If cops were just allowed to shoot scumbags like this, this type of chase could be avoided. I’m glad there is one less pos out there.
