Gov. Shapiro signed a bill on hair discrimination, but this is the last thing we need. It is a hazard is some workplaces and frankly, having people with metal hanging out their nose or endless tats can take away one’s appetite. No one complains s about Afro’s – my wife wore one in the day and wears her hair all manner of ways. Long ropes that are bought in a store hardly are worn by some, but the right no of an employer to project a certain image is their right, Shapiro notwithstanding, and IMHO, an employer should have the right to have standards of appearance while at work since it is THEIR company and not a venue to showcase looks that often have very negative connotations or be viewed with disfavor by customers of all stripes.
