For those not familiar: Davis was the heroic whistleblower on the Afghan war in 2012. He openly broke ranks and wrote an article for the Armed Forces Journal and testified to Congress that Gen. Petraeus was lying and the war was lost. He is a conservative and a patriot and a hero. (Also he fought under Macgregor in the battle of 72 Easting in Iraq War I in 1991.)
