I think, sending in ground troops, is a really bad idea. We could have our troops surrounded, and caught in a bloodbath. We need a better idea, than getting a lot more troops killed. The Iranians can’t quit, it’s their country, to save, and our war to lose. We need to think this out better, we can’t stop them missiles, ask Israel? They still have launchers and missiles, they are deadly, and we have nothing, to take them out. The Hormuz straight won’t be opened, that is the hang= up for the ships. We are in a mess, that’s what happening.

didn’t you people say that it was a mistake to attack Iran in the first place. it’s not like they are going to just walk in and take the uranium… there are stages to this, it will go very well, since we have the air power on our side…. these people can’t deal with us!
Does anyone remember what happened in Iraq and Afghanistan? Committing troops to ground combat inside Iran would be a bloodbath for our military. Iran has an almost one million-strong military that are well-trained and equipped. A good portion of them are committed Islamists who would love a chance to kill American troops. The topography of Iran is similar to Iraq and Afghanistan and can easily hide guerilla forces. The Iranians are the ones who trained the Iraqis and Taliban on IED’s that caused most of our casualties in OEF and OIF. Even stationing troop on Kharg Island would put them under daily fire from Iranian forces. Bad idea. Have the ‘Chickenhawks’ go in first.
All you “naysayers” are full of wind piss and vinegar. Trump knows what he is doing and so does our military establishment. Support them for god’s sake. This enemy is worse than just about anything you could imagine. They must be put down before they kill all of us.
I fought in two wars and two conflicts. I would do it all again to protect the U.S.A., the freest country in the world. I have traveled around the world extensively while in uniform and believe me their “ain’t nothin’ like Uncle Sam and the good old U.S. of A.”
I see nothing wrong with taking Kharg Island, but going onto the mainland of Iran requires VERY careful consideration and planning. Just because the common Iranians want a different government this does not mean they would enjoy seeing U.S. troops one their land. This could backfire and cause a wave of super Iran patriotism which would mean a long drawn-out war. And since no one else is going to help us, why should we risk the lives of our troops? Notice that our fake allies didn’t even bother to help with naval escorts for the oil tankers in the straits, AND THEY’RE THE ONES WHO RELY ON THAT OIL FAR MORE THAN WE DO!
