People, People, People, criticizing the 50-year mortgage. One, people do not have to take out a 50-year loan and still be able to get a 30-year loan. With lower payments, people can double if able; it may be something to think about. It is a long-term thing, but the home is yours, not paying rent, otherwise pay rent forever. You do realize that the republican led senate does not hold a super majority and to pass a funding bill requires 60 votes. That means the bill requires a bipartisan vote… or being a useful idiot, maybe you don’t actually know or realize that fact. It is a demonstrable fact that the democrats were the ones voting to stop the bill’s passing, thereby keeping the government shut down.

The Democraps were responsible for the shutdown and the refusal to reopen the government. Not the Republicans, not President Trump. The Democraps had previously agreed to cut the Obummercare funding on 31 December.
These 8 Senators were handpicked to open the govt. 3 of them are not up for re-election until 2028, 3 of them are not up for re-election until 2030 and the last two are retiring. They knew what they were doing. That’s why it was exactly 8 senators and not any more.
