The best two things that came from Alberta: Princess Patricia’s Canadian Airborne Regiment and “Labatt’s Bleu Biere”. I wonder if Princess Patricia’s Paratroopers are still in existence? Or did they go AWOL and head south to Ft Bragg and join the 82nd Airborne?

I knew 1st Sgt Leonard Funk, CMH, DSC and almost every other medal! But he was 508th Parachute Regiment, 82nd. He and Murphy were both just about evenly tied on awards.Of the 3 Medals of Honor in 82nd during WW2. Funk was the only one that wasn’t Posthumous. He signed the photo for me,with President Truman presenting him the medal. He told me he was more scared going into the White House that day than when the German put the machine-pistol in his gut, saying “surrender”. As Funk lowered his 45 cal Thompson, he almost cut him in half! And he liberated those guys captured by the other “cold Germans” in Holzeim, Belgium that day. (I’ve been there and to the Colmar Pocket where Murphy earned his on that burning tank).

The abject hatred of Trump (TDS) clouds the minds of not only some Americans, but also some World leaders. Some of these foreign leaders are doing things for sheer spite against anything Trump proposes even though it is detrimental to their own country’s benefit.
