This guy is right on the money. I like the soft amber high pressure sodium streetlights. I hate LED streetlights and the funky blue vehicle headlights. They’re so bright, they make my eyes hurt. (I had cataract surgery). I don’t know why some folks have the blue 5000 degree Kelvin lights in their homes. This is not good and can interfere with your sleep. The small amount of electricity you save ain’t worth it.

It’s true the LED lights will throw out more light at a cheaper price, and they do have their place, BUT NOT AS HEADLIGHTS ON VEHICLES! Doesn’t matter if they’re on dims or not, they are too bright. And driving in fog with those damn things is worse than using the old style lights.

They can make LED vehicle headlights the same color as incandescent lamps (2700 Kelvin), but they won’t. Maybe the funky blue color is easier and cheaper to make.
