If you take a full look at the Viet Nam draft, at first, it was designed to get rid of the “undesirables” of what the dummycrats consider low life human beings. They allowed college deferments while the poor white trash and minorities who most couldn’t afford college had to go to a war that was designed to never end by the dummycrats. The big antiwar protest didn’t start until the congress did away with college deferments after the race riots of the early 1960s.
College deferments were curtailed but not eliminated. The lottery system came into play at that time.
