I’m glad to hear this, because, when Home Depot pretty much eliminated their veteran discount program, Lowe’s actually improved their offering (as a consequence of Lowe’s actions, Home Depot had to restore their programs, which would NOT have happened but for the competition Lowe’s provided). Kudos to Lowe’s. Obviously, I detest the whole DEI thing regardless of who is pursuing it, but I understand the pressure these companies are under. Of course, they are gonna toy with it. The measure of the companies involved is how quickly and thoroughly they eschew these programs and distance themselves when called out. Anheuser-Busch, despite the fall-out from Dylan Mulvaney, has never really owned – or owned up to the mess they created. The boycott of them should continue until they bleed out the last of this BS. Like Dick’s Sporting Goods, they haven’t learned or repented. Lowe’s, by contrast, deserves our patronage, in recognition of their rejection of the woke agenda. Make it happen and don’t be shy about telling the store the reason you’re back.
