But he was a failure of a president in every respect – most liberal to the core of all the then Democrat leaders; failed in the Iranian hostage debacle – no foreign policy strength. However, truly Carter had good family values – good husband, good father and not greedy. Carter admitted committing adultery in his heart – his fantasies with another woman but was honest in his confessions to the public – he never mentioned who the woman or women were or what type of fantasies. My cousin worked for the World Bank, born and lived in Yugoslavia was Ambassador to Australia. He had a home in Europe, Australia, and California. Pres Carter may have issues in the white house however all of his humanitarian work more than made up for his missed steps as President. to see him out helping build houses in his 90 was a remarkable thing to see. He showed the world he was a compassionate man. he was also the the first person i had voted for when i turned 18. im sad hes gone now but he will always remain in my eyes as a humanitarian.
