  1. I stopped buying any General Motors products back in the 80s complete junk weak transmissions poor quality manufacturing will never buy another one

  2. I DON’T AGREE I HAVE HAD A LOT OF GM’S CARS AND SO HAS MY SON AND DAUGHTER WE NEVER HAD ANY TROUBLE WITH ANY OF THEM. EVER!

  3. I totally despise SUVs. They look like ice cream trucks. Or boxes. All the cars look alike – just like communists want – no distinction, no differences, we are all carbon copies, with no individualism. I have a sedan. It is great. Bought it used. I will do it again. No new cars for me. Went to Buick to see what they had in new sedans and learned “they don’t make them any more.” So I was directed to buy a foreign car. Hah. How dumb can GM and US manufacturers be. I told them under the circumstances, I would buy used, stick with my car, and forget their SUVs.

  4. this is my second gm pickup. the first was a 97 FWD extended cab i got high dollars for the trade with 146k. It got 17 in 2 wheel mode. my latest is the 2013 v6 base model extended cab. it gets 19 to 21 miles to the gallon.
a great travel truck it weighs about 5200 LBS. I have tried to be proactive on maintenance issues. I changed transmission fluid every year because of the long trips I took. I replaced the water pump at 97k because of the possibility of failure on a long road trip. It might be excessive maintenance but its cheaper to fix at home than on a trip
On a different note some gm cars in the 80s weren’t great.

  5. Monica, I agree with you. Today’s cars look far different than the older cars. Those cars had style and pizzaz. Today, we have small, ugly, cookie cutter cars. I’ve often wondered, where are car designers going with these ugly styles? Even worse, are the battery powered cars. I refer to them as “shitboxes”.
