I think you missed the point. Every single restaurant in California HAS to raise prices because the Marxists running the state have dictated wage increases for all entry-level employees. Nobody wins except the state, who grabs more payroll taxes. Employees may earn more in their paycheck, but now they have to spend way more for food, gas, household supplies, textiles, groceries etc. The Soviet Union saw how bad this mentality failed, as their entire society collapsed. Real estate is so expensive that many young people cannot afford to live in the modest homes they grew up in. So who is buying up a lot of the real estate? The Chinese… Let that sink in for a minute
You can try to explain that until the cows come home! But you can’t fix stupid, and stupid in California is way past the tipping point!

We, (sane, commonsense people), tried to tell, all you people demanding higher minimum wage. Higher wages, equals layoffs, places raising prices to makeup for having to pay higher wages. Companies closing, more layoffs. Also unionizing, is not always a good thing. Sure, will cause higher wages (for union higher ups), but eventually, Companies will close due to strain of higher wages.
