Helen is a mythical figure. She is the daughter of Zeus. Show me a picture of Zeus that supports the contention that Helen was supposed to be black. Let’s be clear, the mythology that introduced Helen of Troy into Greek culture describes Helen as white. Whites and blacks are not interchangeable. Being white or black dictates to a large extent the trajectory of your life. It is an insult to blacks to suggest their path and their struggles would be unaffected by their being black. It’s a subtle form of dumbing down black lives. When a black actor is chosen to portray a character, whether historical or fictional, who is white, it requires the audience to ignore the reality that all of the experiences one has as a white or black person informs that person’s worldview and accept the fiction that, for example, a black James Bond would see the world the same as a white James Bond. If you want to explore those differences, if you want to present your vision of how being black would change the persona of the white version, go ahead, but to just substitute in an actor of a different race than was presented in the source material is a mistake.

So maybe someone White, Mexican, Asian, or any other can portray MLK in a movie or documentary. I only see Democrat or Democrat supporters as the racists. Jim Crow argument is by Democrats. White privilege is by Democrats. There are plenty of black leaders or regular people that are black that have no concern about the color of people’s skin. Character over color. These are just ignorant people that keep pushing this narrative. Reject Socialism, Marxism, Communism, and Radical Islam that destroy societies and freedoms. I am personally tired of hearing about Black person this and Black person that. We need to focus on calling all Americans by their name or this person and any issues outside of mentioning their race. I am sick of giving everything on a silver platter to Blacks or Hispanics. If a person was to apply on almost every company application for employment, they always as if the applicant is Hispanic, Black or African American, and in many applications they also mention many other races, including if the applicant is White! To me all applications should only focus on a person by their qualifications including their Education and totally remove a race or age of that applicant!
