1. The woke military is the reason I told my grandson is not the time to join. He has the wrong color skin. They are lowering the standards for admission and it makes me wonder if these people will have your back. My husband, two sons and one son-in-law all in military. Oldest son and son-in-law retired from military. They all advised grandson not to join at this time. Grandson was disappointed but I told him he doesn’t have to join right out of high school. He can go in a little later if things change. Suggested he go to college then if he joins he can go in as an officer. It is disappointing all branches of our military have lowered their standards for admission to be able to meet their DEI requirements without regard for enlisted personnel being safe in the battlefield. Scraping from the bottom of the barrel and promising enlistments whatever but where is their commitment. When called to serve with they stand up to the challenge and protect their fellow soldiers.
