I am no fan of Omar and her evil thugs, but the real blame belongs to Walz and his ignorant bunch. Not all Somali are criminals and not all state officials turned a blind eye, but this is what happens when problems are ignored by those in charge. It’s called leadership, if you don’t want the feds to take over, do your damn job. If it’s too much, ask for help and create a bipartisan united front. I am amazed that Walz has the nerve to continue to speak out against conservatives, he should be living under a rock with his tail between his legs.
He was a teacher? What kind of role model ignores problems and then justifies it and then tries to claim he has been fixing things when it wasn’t his doing? A real leader would step down, or at least apologize.
Don’t kid yourself, of course there are decent Somalis, but these criminals have brutalized and stolen from their own community who they have exploited. They came here for a better life, some of them decades ago but then someone left the backdoor open.

I worked with many of the Russians after communism fell and the wall came down. They seemed very nice when they came in early in the mornings with their empty back pack. At the end of the day, they left with full back-packs. We reported it to our boss, but he didn’t say anything and they continued to rob us blind. But it made me think? In a communist country, they continued to commoners all get the same thing. Nobody get’s ahead. That is, “unless you steal”. I’d worked with individuals from many places. But the Russians were the thieves. If they were off, they would have a friend “clock them in and out” for extra hours. And we would catch and fire them. We caught a Russian girl on tape sticking a credit card in her vest. The police were involved in that one. She meant to turn it in at the end of her shift. She forgot, took it home. She had a party and Ivan and Svetlanna came over, the card ended up in Walmart with over $1200 run-up on it! The police were there and told her if she couldn’t remember her friends, she was going to jail and would be deported. She remembered them! Two other girls were sledding stuff (beauty aids) across a register. Over $400 of product and about $50 rung-up. They were being watched in the office. The asst. manager told me about the one gorgeous Russian girl. He got her in the office. She thought she was going to be deported. She told John that “she’d do anything to keep her job”. I told John I was single, he wasn’t, and I was locked in on my 401-K. I said “John, you should have let me conduct the interview”. I would have said, “Well, first we’ll go to dinner and see how it goes from there”. No, they fired both of them.
