…the best measurement for the loss of the value of the dollar…is gas prices. Same product, same need for consumers from 1965 till today. But in 1965 you could get about 17 gallons of gas for $5….now…you get 1 gallon of gas…for the same $5. They have been screwing us for decades with their inflated dollar, and they have pretty much wiped the dollar out. If not for US Nukes and our willingness to use them….the dollar would have been dead a long time ago. But the world knows we are led by psychopaths and criminals who will do anything neccessary to maintian the dollar’s dominance…and the world will do whatever is needed to avoid the dollar’s Hiroshima…or a literal Nagasaki on whatever country challenges The US.
The price of gas was destroyed by the idiot peanut farmer Jimmy Carter wanting the cost of gas to be higher, He did not allow full oil tankers to offload their cargo until the price of gas came up to where he wanted it. The Coast Guard had to keep going out and expanding the tanker anchorage areas to make room for the ships waiting to unload.
