Make SURE that there is STRICT oversight (DOGE?) on ANY funds sent to California – and make SURE it is SPENT properly. And REMIND them that there is still PRISON room left . . . In other words, No FRAUD allowed!!!
I am against sending any federal aid to the “socialist California state gov’t” ! They have wasted billions of dollars on stupid programs, so why should these “idiots in charge” be bailed out because of their mismanagement ? I do sympathize with those who lost their homes in the wild fires, and those people should be given aid of some sort, but not the state gov’t. Governor Newsome and that idiot LA mayor had plenty of warning of the impending disaster and did nothing to prepare for it! California is one of the richest, highest taxed states in the Union and as typical with Democrat run states, they just throw money away and over regulate to the point that major companies move out to other states. It is time to dump all of these gov’t officials and elect new people to stabilize this horrible situation.
Plus, didn’t they just pass a 50 billion bill to fight President Trump. They can use that money. And, I agree no money to California’s politicians.
Yes, they passed a $50 billion bill to Trump-proof California. That being said, why should they get any federal aid?
